Every state page on this site has room for exactly two partners. One mountain, one local business. That is the entire shelf. It does not get bigger when demand goes up.
Featured Mountain
One per state. Your mountain sits in a card above the state ranking table with your vertical, trails, average snow and ticket price pulled from our data, and a button pointed wherever you want it, passes, tickets, lodging. You stay in the ranking table too, in the position you earned. You do not move up. Nobody moves up.

Partners sit above the table, never in it
A paid card is a card. It lives in its own zone with its own label. It is not a row, it is not pinned to the top of a list, and it does not sit next to mountains that earned their spot pretending to be one of them.
The scoring engine does not know who paid
Rank comes from snow, drive time, crowds, price and fit. There is no line in that code that checks a partner list, because there is no partner list in that code.
We sell visibility inside relevance
A partner mountain only shows up on pages it already belongs on. You cannot buy your way onto a state page you are not in, or into a comparison you do not fit.
No affiliate links today
Partnerships here are labeled placements, not affiliate commissions. We do not use affiliate links on the site today. That keeps the pitch simple: buy a clearly marked card, never a rank, and never a quiet commission path.
If it makes the page worse, we do not run it
The product stays free and stays useful. A placement that costs a skier trust costs more than it pays.
